*"Queering the Lines" Art Exhibit Reception**
**TODAY from 12pm-1pm**
**Allen House Multicultural Art Gallery (461 Main St)*

Come take a break from studying and check out the amazing work of
Rebecca Levi. Learn more about the artist and their process.

Light refreshments provided. All are welcome.

*About the Exhibi*t: Rebecca Levi's work captures and redefines ideas of
American domesticity and desire, subverting the norm with the unexpected
as it invites a collision between traditional handicrafts and unexpected
sources, such as vintage physique magazines, pin-ups and comic books.
These works provide a valuable opportunity to pause and question our
socially conditioned assumptions about others and ourselves; they serve
as an important reminder that visible representation of the
traditionally underrepresented is indispensable.

This exhibit is curated by Laura Di Piazza.

*About the Artist*: Rebecca Levi is a New York City born and based
artist. She received her BA from McGill University in Montreal. Her
embroidery and pen-and-ink work has been shown in group and solo
exhibitions including The Bureau of General Services - Queer Division
(New York), The Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art (New York),
Soho Gallery for Digital Art (New York), Four Eleven Studio
(Provincetown), Deluca Gallery (New York pop-up), Galapagos Art Space
(Brooklyn), Katharine Mulherin Contemporary Arts Projects (Toronto). Her
embroidered work "Breakfast Boy" is one of the artworks featured in the
recently released Play Smart trading card series from Visual AIDS. She
