Hello. I found a solution to an issue that you or your coworkers may be having on Mac OS. If you have an office file in a shared drive that you know is closed and no one else has it open at the moment, but you still get a prompt saying that the file is locked for editing, try deleting the temporary hidden file that is saved in the same directory. It will usually have "~$" before the file name. To show hidden files on a mac: go to terminal and type or paste the following: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES , then relaunch Finder. -- Take Care, Cristian Ortega Tech Support & Data Management Analyst *Career Center | The University of Vermont * 633 Main Street | Living/Learning E-140 Phone:* *802-656-0125 Website <http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ecareer/> |Facebook <https://www.facebook.com/uvmcareercenter> |Twitter <https://twitter.com/CatamountJobs> |Blog <http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ecareer/blog/> |LinkedIn <http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=4051582> UVM is subject to the Vermont Public Records Act and communications to and from this email address, including attachments, are subject to disclosure unless exempted under the Act or otherwise applicable law.
