Subject: [ISOGEOCHEM] Formalin

Hi All
I have a researcher who would like to do isotopes on fish mussel. Some of the samples are preserved in formalin. Can that be removed by drying or will the carbon be useless and could it be detrimental to the EA or IRMS?
Thanks
Pat
