We have had tremendous issues here in Brandon. Bills going down and then up and then down and up again. I have asked the listers to double check, but I don’t know if it is correct or not.
They need to check the values for the land, excluded and included. We had issues with them changing every time we got the file back. The tax bill should have gone up.

Are there other towns who are still receiving current use updates from last year as a result of the easy out process? I have to send my fifth bill for a property, and after doing the easy out, so they have less land in current use, their bill is lower than it was with more land in the program. I don’t know where the refund is going to come from, since we are on a calendar year. Are there any clerks or treasurers who can walk me through the current use process? Our listers don’t understand why the bill went down, either.
