Sorry that I didn't state this earlier, it is for students in Grades 5/6.  Thank you all so far for your suggestions!

Hi-

I don't know the age of the students for whom you're inquiring. You might explore Biblionasium. It's like GoodReads for kids. Teachers create a free account and set up student accounts. It works for the under age 13 crowd. It won't offer all that you're looking for, but there are some great elements.

"BiblioNasium is a free, protected social network for children ages 6-13 designed to engage, encourage and excite young people about reading."

A combination of Google Form and Google Group for discussion could be a nice combination, or use the question features in Google Classroom and manage the forms through that too.

Happy Friday everyone!

I have a teacher who is asking for a website/app that could be used as a functional reading inventory.  She has gone through a few, but none have met her needs

She is looking for something that
Allows students to log books; time read; answer generic questions about characters, plot, etc; and access different activities to help them delve further into the reading.  All this while being able to open up discussions amongst her students.

I recommended a Google Form until she mentioned that last bit.  Any and all suggestions are welcome on or off list.

Thanks
