The Ferrisburgh Christmas Bird Count took place on Dec. 19 with 68 species tallied, the lowest number since 2002. Though the total count was down, it did have some interesting highlights, like a record 126 Common Loons, and two firsts for the count, a Pine Warbler and Greater Yellowlegs.
