(There was a misspelling in the VTSP blog post. It's "Extremus", not "Extremists".)

Last year and this, this has been a group trek of several dozen people. The "leadership" concept is to divide 'em up into groups of 8-10 and let 'em have at a 45-mile stretch of the LT in winter. The goal is to do 45 miles in about 36 hours, with most people unfamiliar with the route.

For those who are following things... this is the 2nd year in a row that this poorly-organized, poorly-led group has fallen significantly short of its goals, this time involving SAR.
