The international University of British Columbia (UBC) Centre for Cultural Planning and Development is offering a new session of the online professional development course: Creative Placemaking by Pru Robey, Vice-President and Creative Placemaking Lab Director at Artscape, starting February 22. This course can be taken individually for professional development, or applied to the UBC Certificate in Cultural Planning – an international professional learning program delivered 100% online.

 

Creative Placemaking

Acquire the knowledge, skills and inspiration required to investigate, develop and implement creative placemaking projects in your community, including: the development of cultural districts and creative industry clusters, public art, cultural flagship development and artists’ space projects, and festivals and events. This course includes online discussions, case studies and opportunities to engage and network with other professionals in an interactive online learning environment.

 

INSTRUCTOR: Pru Robey is Vice-President and Creative Placemaking Lab Director at Artscape, a not-for-profit organization that makes space for creativity and transforms communities, where she advises communities on strategies to support city-building through the arts.
