Join the Maker Movement with 3D Printing
Renfrow and Rodney Batschelet, August 1-5, 9 am - 4 pm, Castleton
University, Stafford Academic Center, Room 156.  3D Printer included with
tuition.  The “Join the Maker Movement with 3D Printing” course is intended
to provide educators with a background and basic expertise in developing
projects for students to design and create with 3D printers. Teachers will
learn how to build 3D models and print 3D objects using a 3D printer as
well as pedagogy and real world applications.

Virtual Reality with Google Cardboard: An Adventure in Learning
Aigner & Clarena Renfrow, Saturday, July 23, 2016 and online until August
23, 10 am to 4 pm in classroom and 9 hours online, Castleton University,
Stafford Academic Center (STAC), Room 156.  Google Cardboard goggles
included in tuition.  Google Cardboard is a new affordable way to
experience virtual reality with great possibilities for learning. Join our
course to learn how to use Google Cardboard with your students and envelope
them in a world where they can walk among the stars, view the Eiffel Tower,
take virtual field trips, play virtual reality learning games, and more. We
will also explore ways in which to make your own virtual reality 3D video
or pictures that can be used with the Googles. Participants will receive
two Google Cardboard virtual reality goggles to bring back to their
classroom. Participants must be able to bring a smartphone to class Android
or iPhone.
