+1 for CC search filters in Google Images and YouTube. As much as I would love kids to go directly to CC sites, I have found that it may not be practical or realistic with older students (eg. they just won't.) We do teach Fair Use guidelines which allow restricted use of copyrighted content although we encourage use of CC whenever possible.

We use keepvid to capture flash video from web, which was recently updated to work without Java so works on Chromebooks!
