A solitary Eastern Meadowlark fluttered across Lemon Fair Road in
Weybridge this afternoon and settled in a mowed hayfield brown from the
winter that wasn't, at a spot known for singing Meadowlarks for many
years. Company was sparse, a few crows, a Northern Harrier, and an
empty branch favored by a
Rough-legged Hawk for the past four months.
