Same here in Passumpsic, only second winter with a pair of redbirds, and both these icy mornings he was singing!

It was 15 below earlier this morning and as the sun grew stronger bringing 
temps to a balmy plus 10, a cardinal was in full song getting an early 
start on stalking out territory. Seeing cardinals regularly up here on the 
border is a recent phenomenon in the last few years.
