It was truly great on the Big Hill Saturday. Corned up early and stayed nice all day. Surprised Smuggs was that different. Made multiple runs with Jumping Jimmy (remember him?) and Jen, and spent all day chasing Sharon and her friend Pam around.

Sunday I skied Nose Dive It was pure ice, rock hard, a skating rink.  I watched several skiers come down  the steps.   Many of them I know to be very solid skiers.  Nobody looked good on it.

I don't understand some people's idea of great.

At Smuggs, Saturday was ok at best.  Some of the snow softened up, but there was always enough solid ice lying around that one could not ski with the reckless abandon of a truly great corn day. A snowboarding friend  broke his L1 after sliding into a crevice on FIS. Skied with Eric Morton, so that was nice. Ate sausages and drank Hill Farmstead Civil Disobedience straight out of the bottle in lot 1, so that too was nice.

Lower temps kept me away on Sunday.  Word was it was hard enough at noon to do one run and retreat to the lot for bbq. Not what I would call great.
