Re:      Mary E. Wilk

It is with great sadness that we inform the University community that Mary Wilk, a May 2016 graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016.  Mary died from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident while leading an adventure trek group in Rhode Island on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

While at UVM, Mary was an active member of the Outing Club and the DREAM mentoring program for underserved children.  In addition, Mary served as an Orientation Leader and as an AdvoCat for Undergraduate Admissions.

Family services celebrating Mary's life will be held on Saturday, August 6th, at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 159 Church St. Cheshire. Calling hours in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, MA, 01225 are Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A fund to honor Mary's memory has been established by her beloved friends from the University of Vermont Outing Club.
