Last evening between 6:30 and 7:30 I enjoyed watching Nighthawks swirling over the fields and campus of Bennington College. 
I counted 35 as they dived and circled. Many very low, just over my head.
This was unexpected, as we don’t see them often here in the Banana Belt. The insect hatch must have been large and tasty to draw them 
here.
