Hi Bobbi and Clerk's,

We have been receiving a lot of questions recently about the increasing volume of online registrations and many first time registrants not supplying the required documentation. Please look for a bulletin from our office in the coming days regarding this issue, including the process that clerks should follow at the polls for a voter that hasn't provided the documentation.

Thanks everyone,

Will

And then when they show up at the polls without any ID, are we supposed to turn them away?

Hello Clerk's,

In response to Cassandras email below. When you receive an OLVR on your Dashboard and find they are in fact a first time registrant, but they did not provide one of the required ID's please remember to mark "Verification Provided" as "NO". You will find this designation on the Voter Info screen in the Information For Verification section. The system always defaults to "YES". If you mark the voter as "NO" when you print the Entrance Checklist they will show as "VNP" "Verification Not Provided" in the status field.

Thank you,

Is anyone else having a HUGE problem with people using the online registration and not providing any attachment to prove they reside here? This would be for new registrants who don't appear to have ever registered in Vermont before. Today I have had a surge of usage on the system and I noticed on Facebook there is an "ad" to register to vote, which brings you to the MVP page. I am betting over half of the ones I have received are not sufficient.
