Part-time position (5-10 hours/week on average, up to 260 hours annually). The Town Treasurer is responsible for overseeing financial work in connection with maintaining the town’s accounts, investment of town monies, invoices and payroll, collecting and recording property tax payments and other fees, and other related items. Working with the office team, the Treasurer also maintains a "big picture" view of the Town's accounting practices, keeping the Town up-to-date on current practices, and finding and implementing new ways of reporting, investing, and other duties, with an eye on providing the best data to the Selectboard for managing the town, and saving the town money.
