I had three students use ipads for SBACs last year. I had some trouble with the speech to text working, which was the main reason they were using the ipads in the first place. Once I got it all working (I think it was a device settings issue, but don't rely on the documentation available in the portal - you have to play with it to make sure you've got everything right and tier 1 help had no idea how to deal with my issue). No problems other than that though - so if you don't need that accommodation, you'll probably be fine.
