There are a few spaces remaining in the next session of the online professional development course “Festivals, Events and Eventful Communities” offered by the international University of British Columbia (UBC) Centre for Cultural Planning and Development. This course can be taken individually for professional development, or applied to the UBC Certificate in Cultural Planning – an international professional learning program delivered 100% online.

 

Festivals, Events and Eventful Communities

Explore different models and approaches to events; how to create, manage and evaluate events; and, how to develop policies and practices that support eventfulness and its unique contributions to communities. This course includes online discussions, case studies, and opportunities to engage and network with other professionals in an interactive online learning environment.

 

INSTRUCTOR: Robert Palmer is the former Director of Democratic Governance, Culture and Diversity at the Council of Europe. His previous roles have included being Director of two European Capitals of Culture (Glasgow in 1990 and Brussels in 2000).
