Andrew Maybe you are over staffed. Nothing wrong with more production per tech

Hi Steve,
I Think that is a GREAT idea… but  until productivity goes up, our techs are being forced to leave early using vacation time and forcing remaining techs to
juggle more then 1 room at a time.  I need to find a balance between being full but not overworking staff.

Oh and I have SEVERAL interesting cases we could potentially submit if you want to contact me off of this forum to discuss.

Andrew, get your speedy techs to start working on some research projects, abstracts, posters, articles, etc for the SVU journal and annual conference!

We are always looking for good content.

Hi guys,
Due to our large lab, we have a mix of both old and new techs who all do testing at different speeds (42 techs ranging from early 20s to 60’s in age).  Our issue is that the scan
and reporting times are allotted for the slower techs which is creating a ton of down time and low productivity for the quicker techs.  That being said we also know that there are techs out there that if allotted an hour for a test, they will take the full
hour regardless so we need to make changes to our scheduled times but do not want require techs to function at an unrealistic pace.  For the record we have mostly all newer GE machines (Logiq E9 or S8).

What are the timeslots everyone is using for their lab for the following studies (Including scan and Reporting times)?  Please note if you have heavy reporting or written worksheet
 reporting.

1-
CAROTID B/L

2-
B/L LOWER LIMB ARTERIAL DUPLEX with ABI

3-
U/L LOWER LIMB ARTERIAL DUPLEX with ABI

4-
AORTO ILIAC DUPLEX – no ABI and no evar/fevar surgery

5-
AORTOILIAC DUPLEX with ABI

6-
RENAL ARTERY DUPLEX B/L

7-
LOWER EXTREMITY VEIN MAPPING – No marking for CABG

8-
LOWER EXTREMITY VEIN MAPPING – With marking for BPG

9-
UPPER LIMB DIALYSIS VEIN/ARTERY MAPPING B/L

Thank you everyone in advance,
