I dealt with this company when I was the Tech Director in Littleton NH.  In short, I wouldn’t do it again.

I forgot to mention.  They take 6% vs up to 50% with the normal copier sales vendors, and they push down pricing by going direct to manufacturer for pricing.

I wrote a report for the WWSU Finance Director that argued the case based on my interviewing a broad number of schools = something like 10 over N. New England.  Do you have that report?

 

The problem with one vendor that is ALSO in the business of selling copiers and service is that they are non-competative and you have no power over them.

 

The third party contract aggregator gives you leverage over the vendor because they control MANY contracts and if you piss off the aggregator, as a service provider, you don't get more contracts.

SPC was the best aggregator of contracts I could find.

Washington West is working towards consolidating our copier lease contracts. Currently each school has it's own lease with it's chosen service company. We would like to have all our schools covered by the same service company, and to additionally lower copier costs by leveraging bulk purchasing.
