The PanumGroup is seeking a qualified Librarian to work with the USDA - CNPP - NutritionEvidence Library (NEL) team. NEL staff work to support systematic reviewprojects that inform Federal nutrition policy and programs such as the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Strongexpertise in systematic review literature searching in biomedical, nutrition,and public health related databases such as PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane isrequired. Strong organizational and electronic information skills with provenability to utilize indexing, controlled vocabulary, and search features (i.e.Boolean/proximity operators, limiters and filters, etc) in bibliographicaldatabases are needed. Experience and interest in conducting systematic reviews aredesirable. Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environmentis preferred.   Dutiesof the Position:Work as part of a team and receive technicaldirection from the Office of Nutrition Guidance and Analysis (ONGA) Librarianand Team Lead. Main duties would consist of:·        comprehensive literature searching in multiple databasesto support NEL’s systematic review process·        maintainthe NEL portal and related electronic tools, including posting of NEL web content(www.nel.gov) ·        adviseon NEL communications related to searches and electronic informationresources.   Additional responsibilities:   
   - Work closely with the ONGA Librarian and NEL Team.
·        Coordinate and/or assist in the NEL systematicreview process, which includes the following activities: 1)     literature search, screening and selection: a.     Communicate with NEL staff and expert groupsto accurately translate research questions into appropriate and comprehensivesearch terms and strategies,b.     test, develop, implement, peer review, anddocument  search strategies for relevantdatabases, c.      title screening of search results, andd.     retrieval of full text articles 2)     maintain and support NEL’s electronic toolsand web content3)     utilizebibliographic tools such as EndNote to manage literature content·        Assistin related duties as needed for all CNPP/NEL projects A minimumof a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school isrequired.   The location shall be:  USDA/Center forNutrition Policy and Promotion, Alexandria, VA.  Please submit resumes for consideration [log in to unmask]
