Several of our schools are using the same model.  Only seen this once
before.  One item to look at if you have not already is resetting the LVDS
cable at both board and screen ends.

Do you think it is the battery/power issue or screen?  Does the charge
light go from amber to green after it has been "charged" for a while
indicating a good battery, but the power throughput to rest of the device
isn't working as it should?  I know that with the CTL device that I am
referring to it took a while to figure out the cause.

As Craig Donnan has added, CTL support is fairly good at trying to assist
with these issues.  My assumption is that you have already gone that
route...

Please let me know what "fix" you ultimately use as we have multiple
schools running these.
