Our town is also having problems with free range chickens, ducks, etc. The birds are on neighbors properties and causing traffic problems in the road. How do other towns handle these issues and can it be done without creating an ordinance?
I would appreciate any direction and/or reference to laws on poultry control.

I would love that information too. It’s a perennial problem around here. We have had the fence viewers go out and order a landowner to fix his fence, when the issue was cows in Route 2 and in the neighbor’s garden, and we have sent the health officer out to explain that it isn’t OK to free-range your chickens on your neighbor’s lawn under their swingset and in their toddler’s sandbox, but we don’t have an ordinance.
I am looking for some guidance concerning cows and pigs getting out and on to neighboring properties. Are there any towns that have an ordinance or policy about animals doing damage
On other persons property?
How do other town handle this?
Any help would be great.
