Woodstock Elementary uses code.org classes and lessons, (unplugged lessons for grades 1 and 2), scratch coding, we are getting a finch robot loan again this year, and we are buying a class set of Hummingbirds.  I am interested in the Foos that got mentioned.

We have had good luck with these so far. https://airtame.com/

Perfect iOS mirroring is not available yet. I have spoken to them about
adding this and they told me they are working on it for a future update.

Scott,

Will you be providing results of your inquiry public?

I do know in the past others (Melissa?) have used this forum to gather such
data.  Also, the ISED-L (A forum for independent school educators),
recently had posted in that listserv "ATLIS and Ed Tech Recruiting are
pleased to announce the 2017 salary survey for technology professionals in
schools <http://www.theatlis.org/salary>.  This is an anonymous,
self-reported survey.  Results will be available for everyone to freely
access in November." I had also heard from Paul Irish at this past week's
Pizza Tech meeting in S. Burlington about a similar data set for the State?
Paul, could you forward to me off list and correct me if different?

Hi Bjorn, we haven't been successful in getting the Chromecasts setup to
the point where we would be comfortable deploying them. Do you have the
first generation Chromecast or second? We wanted to use the PIN feature but
it never worked out.

Eric, how many devices do you have? The price tag on those are
prohibitively expensive for us to test out but we are also trying to find a
final solution in Winooski, thanks!

I bought just one to test and it ended up working really well. So I just
bought 10 more at 250 a piece. To answer your question, I have one deployed
right now but shortly will have 11.

Thanks everyone who has responded so far
I'm starting to organize responses in a spreadsheet..
It would be great if we could continue to add to this and get a picture of
Vermont schools and coding offerings before Hour of Code

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F7FHrJlUkEoGoSGeCc_S_-EvU1rw9JJbwJYIjM68nNM/edit#gid=0

I've got some ideas for a press release... but need a few more schools...
So we have some great data

Dave mentioned sharing resources and ideas and tips ... I could work on
arranging something like that once we get a bit more data
I have some ideas
Also looking to add some possibilities for Robot Rodeo  that might make
some opportunities available for older kids
Lots of ideas flowing.... Will do more processing onceI analyze what/ who /
how  we are currently positioned in Vermont...

Thanks to everyone who has done this so far
and please take two minutes to add your schools 'coding' approach
(especially looking for info on a sustained activity like a course or mini
course)

is frame rate lag <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nt6Cczpb1w> for
streaming video. Our unit is about 3 years old, so newer models might not
have this lag issue... also depends on your Wi-Fi bandwidth.
