Vermont Compost Company is looking to hire a Fulfillment and Operations
Team Member.

This is slated to be a full-time, year-round position, though could be
full-time, seasonal (October-May) for the right candidate. This is an
hourly position with benefits, primarily working Mon-Fri, 8am to 4pm, with
occasional weekend work.

The Fulfillment and Operations Team Member works primarily within the
fulfillment department in the preparation of potting soil orders for
shipment. The work is physical, often out in the elements and our busiest
months are November-May. From June-November, this position will still be
completing their fulfillment duties, but will often find themselves working
on various projects, maintenance tasks, and any other supporting tasks for
various departments.

Duties include but are not limited to: operate machinery in a safe manner
around the yard (no experience necessary), complete all soil bagging orders
as requested, assist in loading trucks for shipment, actively participate
in equipment maintenance, work with fulfillment team and other employees on
any maintenance, development projects, or daily chores that need attention.


A positive attitude and a desire to work hard while improving the craft are
the two most essential items. After that, we need someone that can lift
50lbs repeatedly over the course of a day, shows up on time and ready to
work, has a sense of environmental stewardship, and understands the idea of
leadership without having to be in a leadership position.
