This is an important discussion to have.  I encourage all to attend, and forward along.

We can achieve NOTHING if our voices are censored.

Subject: Stop corporations from censoring your Internet: Online event January 16

On January 16, 2018, the WSWS will livestream a discussion on the political context of the efforts to censor the Internet and abolish net neutrality.
Dear Amy,
You’ve signed our petition against Google censorship, but if you want to help fight against the attack on a free Internet, the time has come to take more decisive action.

On January 16 at 7 PM EST, the World Socialist Web Site is hosting a live, online video webinar with Chris Hedges and David North titled “Organizing resistance to internet censorship.” If you haven’t already done so, you can register here.
We need you to do more than just attend this event. We need you to help promote it.
In the World Socialist Web Site’s fight against the world’s most wealthy corporations and powerful governments, we may not have the ruling class’ financial resources, but we can beat their censorship efforts by mobilizing our network of readers to spread the truth across the world.
Help spread the word by taking these actions today:
  • Forward this email to your friends, family, or coworkers now and encourage them to register and attend this event.
  • Share the Facebook event page and invite 10 of your friends to attend the event. Post the event page in Facebook groups to which you belong.
  • Donate now to help us spread the word.
Despite the censorship efforts, our readership is growing around the world. We know the World Socialist Web Site can break the blacklisting. But we cannot do it without you.
