UVM Learns of Dismissal in Richter Case

The University of Vermont this afternoon learned through news media that the case involving Wesley Richter has been dismissed by the Superior Court of Chittenden County, reportedly for lack of probable cause.  Richter is not currently enrolled at UVM.

At this time, we understand that the written opinion supporting the dismissal has not been made a public document.  The University has attempted without success to obtain official and detailed information regarding the court’s basis for this dismissal.
