Hi EWB!

Thank you to all who came to our first meeting on Wednesday! It was so nice to see so many new and returning faces :)

I know a bunch of people couldn't make it because of an exam (Chemistry, I believe?), but don't worry--I've got our meeting minutes to share with you all!

First, here is a link to the PowerPoint Presentation we discussed during the meeting: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1pcLiM0f8uRJD-x_C6rFJLa9HxkbQUfiu9kLuaju2LsA/edit?usp=sharing

It highlights some key information about the club (like officers and past projects) and also goes more in depth on the little we currently know about our project in Guatemala!

Here are a few additional things to take note of that are not covered in the PowerPoint:

     - We are hoping to do a bunch of fundraising right off the bat (to raise money for the project assessment trip). We have a few ideas that we'll give more information about next week. BUT--if you have any fundraising events that you've had success with in the past or think would be good for our club to try out, please please email our Fundraising Coordinator, Frances Eisinger, at [log in to unmask]

     - If you ordered a EWB shirt/long-sleeves last year (or would like to this year!) please reach out to Kirsten Jensen (our wonderful president :) ) at [log in to unmask] We will be bringing previous orders and the extras we have to sell to our next meeting.

     - We are also currently looking for a domestic project to fill our time in between working on the international one! If you have any ideas or know of professors working on a project that would benefit from our clubs help, please reach out and share with us!

** Next week we will be meeting again on Wednesday, at 6:30 in Votey 209. In this meeting there will be FREE PIZZA, and we will start going through the webinar trainings and prep-work needed for the assessment trip. **

LASTLY:  A super easy way to make money for our club is to sign-up as a CEMS Student Representative! Amanda Wells recently sent out an email to all of CEMS with a sign-up sheet you all should check out. Simply by giving tours of Votey, answering questions to perspective students about CEMS majors, or appearing on a student panel our club can receive funding for the time your put in!

    - Please email our Vice President, Abby Munterich, at [log in to unmask] if you sign up or have    any questions about the process.

As always, please reach out to me or any of the other officers if you have any questions!

Have a great weekend :)
