Hi Andrew,
Yes, new thermocouple.
Yes, talked to Bruno and John, and so far we narrowed down to that to rule out grounding issues.
Thanks.

Hi Eduardo,

Did you replace the thermocouple as well? Does the second column also vary in temperature? Have you asked Bruno or Jon at Costech?

Hi everyone,
Our EA (Costech) is funny since some power outage we had a few months ago.
When the machine clicks to turn the carousel for a new sample, the temperature drops (in less than one second) from 1020 C to around 1000 CO2 Then it overshoots to around 1030 to compensate and oscillates until stable at 1020 again. I got new candles, all grounds in place and now I think my last and worse place to investigate is the board. Does anyone have seen anything similar?
Does anyone have any tips? Is it worth to change the board?
More: Is it worth to replace the 17 year old EA? Should I get a thermo or what do you recommend? I run plant, animals and soils for C and N mostly.
Thank very much,
I appreciate any input.
Cheers
