The Current Use specialist-who would this be replacing?  I hope it's not one of my favorites.

Subject: PVR is Hiring!

Good afternoon,
We wanted to spread the word to towns that the Department of Taxes, Property Valuation and Review Division is hiring for two key positions, and would appreciate your help getting the word out (and maybe applying!). For information about these positions, and working for the state of Vermont, please visit https://humanresources.vermont.gov/careers.

  1. Property Tax Specialist III (Current Use Program Specialist): The Current Use Program seeks a motivated employee who will determine eligibility for continued enrollment in Current Use Program including highly complex withdrawals, and review taxpayer records and income information. The Current Use Program is part of the Division of Property Valuation and Review within the Department of Taxes.  This position will work with a variety of municipal and state employees to review, analyze and approve applications for enrollment in the Current Use program. The program has a high volume of work and must consistently apply the relevant policies, statutes, regulations, and rules to thousands of parcels each year. This requires a technical person who can provide great customer service in a high-volume program. Job Opening #623991.
  2. PVR Data Program Manager:  The Division of Property Valuation and Review is seeking a skilled, forward-thinking, self-reliant individual to serve as our data and program expert. This position is responsible for the fiscal and property valuation software programs maintained between PVR and the 252 municipalities in Vermont. The skillset is primarily fiscal and data management, working independently as a resource to PVR, the Department and the state. This position is responsible for the programmatic implementation and oversight of the Statewide Education Grand List, which draws millions of dollars annually for the Education Fund. The position both implements these complex data collections and provides expertise and program management at the division. A great deal of concentrated knowledge and skills must be combined to make this position successful. They are the only individual in the state with this responsibility. Job Opening # 623992.

Thank you for reading, and for all you do.
