I think you'll need crouton integration with linux os on the chromeos. It's easy to set up. But, if that site is a must have, then that might be your best bet. Now if it is something that every kid would need on multiple chromebooks, it's not that easy. Well easy but tedious. If that is the case you could try this site as an alternative http://www.glencoe.com/sites/common_assets/mathematics/ebook_assets/vmf/VMF-Interface.html
That just needs flash.

It should run with safari assuming you have java installed. You should be able to put java on any mac os device.
Your only limitation to running java is a chromebook, which would need the ability to install the libraries required, which is where crouton comes in. Otherwise, install java. I use icetea-web on my linux box, runs java apps just fine.

I saw that but it runs about $30 whereas the website is free.  I'm trying to find ways around the software limitations without having to spend the money.

when you click on the link there is an app to use at the top in the green bar that says it bypasses Java issues.

Hi all

I have a teacher who wants to use the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, but alas it requires Java, which Chrome, Firefox, and Safari will not run.  Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get her access to this site? http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/vlibrary.html

Thanks

Joe
