That's too bad! ;-(  it looked liked a great option.
I did look into it for Vermont  consortium pricing for schools who were not CTL folks at the time and they seemed willing,  but have not spoken to them since.
It would be good to hear if anyone else has tried this and if it is still an option (perhaps paid option)
anyone?

Lucie,

I may be wrong, but from my understanding the suite was discontinued and CTL did not pursue a replacement suite.  However, there may be other options available or this suite offered through a different avenue.

Keith... your message reminded me that the CTL Chromebooks also included a free subscription to LAB CAMERA
Not sure if this is still in effect, but I checked it out and was VERY impressed how this might be used to support learning in our schools with Chromebooks.  Would be interested to learn if anyone uses this

Joe,

With the CTL NL6 line Chromebook, they sell a Micro Lens that fits over the existing rotating camera at the top edge of the screen. ($5.00) Having the Chromebook then attached to a projector might be an option for you?  I am not sure of the magnification of this Lens.  Depending on what devices you are using (and needs you have), this direction might be explored?

Cheers.

Check in with Laurie Williams...
She won the Charlie Wilson Innovation Grant that Vita-Learn gives out and presented on it at a conference

She was looking for something for younger learners, so her needs might be different  but here is the info she gave me when I asked the same question to her last year

Here's a link: http://www.hamiltonbuhl.com/store/products/9888/HamiltonBuhl-Digital-Microscope-for-iPad, but it looks like they were discontinued, so it might be wise to research why or check if there is something better out there.

Hi all

Does anyone have any suggestions for a classroom microscope that can be attached to a projector?  I googled up a few but I have no idea about quality.  If anyone out there does, please let me know.

TIA
Joe
