What Skip said; and if its hard and icy skip it, if its soft and dreamy, why would you ask anyway.
 Worst thing you do is actually dislocate the bones and need surgery then a cast?  You already have the cast.  
1) Practice your tuck and roll
2) tape your arm to your stomach to avoid any unintended arm usage
