“Our” Carolina Wren seems to have found a cozy nighttime roost, at the very top of our full woodshed. Every morning, we hear it singing but can’t see it because it’s back a little way, tucked under the metal roof, protected from rain, snow, sleet and predators. The three cords of wood might even produce a bit of heat! - After a few minutes of chirping and churring, it comes to the front of the pile, peeping out from between big chunks of wood, and then flies off to begin its day.
