The reporting is not the same now that they are "Scottless". I assume Scott got a well earned promotion. If he got canned, we'll have to flame the $hit out of Stowe and make the old Les Otten slamfests look like a picnic.

In snowy Lake Louise now, wondering if we'll make it over Kicking Horse Pass ......got to do it so were at the settlement of Donald at 9am Saturday at the helipad for another week of you know what. Avalanche danger is High now. I actually had to drive a fellow Patroller and I as bus service along the Trans Canada Highway went outta business....... why are people so slow and polite in heavy Calgary traffic? ...... that was nothing like Storrow Drive. Wee-idd, very weird.

Beer time now - I need it after 1.5 days of transcontinental travel.

Yeah, EO's post wasn't clear, but he was reacting to a post by one of his ski partners in another forum. Stowe's FB page is getting blasted with complaints this year
re: inaccurate conditions and weather reports, as well as a trail opening policy that is ridiculously conservative.  Stowe's reaction has basically gone from "we're trying, hang with us while we go through changes"(ie. Scott changing positions) to "Tough. Deal with it."

I guess I didn't pick up on the details of it being double reported Tuesday and Wednesday. Just that 7" from the event is legit. Smuggs reported 5" and 2" respectively on those days, which was about right.

Matt- What's a lie(or egregious ineptitude at the very least) is that they claimed 7" of new for Wednesday morning, on top of the 6" that fell for Tuesday. There was nothing more than a few light flurries on Tuesday, and kies were clear on Tuesday night, so there were no 7' new.   Part way through the day on Wednesday they changed the report to 0".  Whoever is in charge of the Stowe weather/lift/trail report has really shown total lack of care about it all season.  I can't believe I'm saying this, but I currently trust Smuggs report more than the Stowe report.

Nope. Not a lie. I was just there yesterday. It came with wind, so it's anywhere from 0" to 20" new inches in the trees.

Yep

And it wasn’t the first time

Don’t you trust your ski partner?

I havent ventured north of the Route 2 border yet this winter and I'm wondering if all the horrible reports of snow misreporting and budget cuts to the McMountain Ops are true. Clearly the snow report is in bad shape, but did they really lie about a phantom 7" snowfall the other day?!

TOS, what say you?
