The
Women in Livestock Business workshop series is a unique opportunity for beginning and established farmers to build their production and business management know-how.
This new program is a spin on the "Annie's Project" traditional program, focusing on topics New England women farmers have identified as priorities for building successful livestock farms.
Topics include: rules and regulations related to processing; grazing and pasture management; communication, branding and marketing skills; and financial and production record keeping to
manage risk on the farm.
Participants must attend the first class in person, but will have remote access options for subsequent sessions. Additionally, two field days will be scheduled in the spring-fall of 2019 at an agreed upon date among participants.
The program is organized by UNH Extension and co-sponsored by UVM Extension and the USDA Risk Management Agency.
