I have been as excited as everyone as the Red-winged Blackbirds return,
perhaps the best sign of spring here in Vermont. And they may also be a
harbinger of long term change too. I hope everyone is able to get their
checklists into Vermont eBird, with or without finding them, so we can keep
tracking spring phenology so wonderfully. Here's a blog post a wrote about
