I really appreciate what you have been doing, Mark, in providing all these reports to the list this year. They are enjoyable to read each day.

I should be providing more input to the list, but I am skiing less (and certainly skiing the east far less) than the old pre-Epicpass days. At least most of the skiing I do get to do is generally, epic. But I think I’ll stick to my forte, which is the annual trip, trivia about obscure resorts, and providing economic advice on how to ski like a king for a pittance.

BTW, I’m hoping to see a read a bunch of Cat/Heli reports in a couple of weeks, with some longstanding list members out there this year, some for the first time ever.

Still, I’ve been wondering: when exactly does this wonderful life-phase start when I can simply take off and going skiing on whim? 😉

I find I am suffering through an increasing and extended confluence of factors conspiring against my old >40 day seasons, such as:

*	turning 60 (supposedly “the new 50”, but somehow, the 15 hours of driving for 12 hours of skiing weekend model just isn’t quite as appealing any more);
*	kids done school (counterintuitive, I know, but that now translates to “grandchildren”)
*	the law practice becoming more and more “successful” (meaning : “more busy”, but not necessarily “more enjoyable”)
*	the inverse correlation between the financial ability to ski, and having the time to do it (you know, the heliskiing economic model for decades)

Anyway, you can make the “priories, priorities” argument, but I think I’d much rather be an old skier, rather than an old [ski] bum. Oh, and you defined-benefit pension guys s*ck. 😊

What? No skiing today?!?!?!

Our Monday NYC snowstorm got hyped into a 10” “blizzard.” It delivered 5” overnight, and by 5:30 AM, temps were already north of 32˚. Got out before the sledders for 9 farmed laps on the 108th Street “hill.” Snow was wet, but nice and slippery. Good time. Can’t believe I forgot to snap a pic.
