Thanks goes to the watchful eye at the Thetford Police Department for catching the mistake in this original message.  As indicated in this corrected message, both the US and Vermont flags are currently at half-staff; both flags will return to full-staff at sunset on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.  I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

As a sign of respect for Alexander Valentino (Tino) Acebo who passed away on April 11, 2019.  Mr. Acebo served as Vermont’s Auditor of Accounts from 1970 to 1993.  Services will be held Monday, April 15 in Maine and on Tuesday, April 16 in Barre.

**           Rule:  When the U.S. Flag is lowered, the Vermont flag and POW flag must also be lowered, the U.S. Flag must always fly above or equal to any other flags that are flown.
