Put out a hummingbird feeder less than 24 hrs. ago. Male ruby-throat
already visiting. Also two firsts for me in this location. Two male
rose-breasted and a pair of house finches. Goldfinches are here and still a
few juncos about. A hawk zipped through just above the trees. Only a brief
look, but impression was a broad-wing. Plenty of blue jays and chickadees
and a phoebe nesting nearby. Anxious to see what the rest of the day has in
store.
