Twenty-six (!) Common Loons were on Lake Bomoseen this afternoon in two fairly tight groups and a couple stragglers, all in breeding plumage except for two in basic plumage.
A couple Bonaparte's Gulls are still present.
Around the lake, Warbling Vireos, Baltimore Orioles, Yellow Warblers, Ovenbirds, and Louisiana and Northern waterthrushes are singing away (and one Nashville Warbler).
