Washington Central U U School District is seeking an entry level Information Technology Support Specialist to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced helpdesk environment. This position will perform helpdesk related functions, utilize various software applications to troubleshoot remote computers and must be able to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and parents, regardless of their level of technical ability.
This position will be the first point of contact for technical assistance via phone, email or in-person requests to help with software, hardware and printing issues. Hands on skills configuring, testing, delivering and installing computers and Chromebooks, as well as other peripherals and other related hardware. Ability to install, configure and upgrade operating systems and district-approved software, including troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues. Will be responsible for monitoring trouble ticketing system, managing IT inventory and coordinating activities with other technology staff and users. Responsible for training staff on district-provided technology, which will include travel between schools sites to perform assigned duties.
