We just celebrated our 50th Anniversary see:

Communications and Marketing was in charge of most everything. However, together with our director and another faculty member we three edited: Life, Purpose Vision: a fiftieth anniversary history of Texas Tech Health Sciences Center .

We only had 2 years so having almost 4 will be a great advantage. If you would like to call, I would be happy to chat about what we did and answer some more specific questions.

Mass. Eye and Ear will be celebrating our 200th anniversary in 2024. Seems like a long time away, but these things have a way of sneaking up on us, so we are in the early stages of planning.
If any of you have celebrated an institutional anniversary recently, I am hoping you would be willing to share the logistics of getting it organized. What committees did you have and who was on them? What sorts of events did you offer throughout the year? If you have an Archive, what aspects of your history did you highlight: notable people, groundbreaking discoveries/treatments developed, various buildings your institution occupied over the years, all of the above? Did you have a timeline for what had to get done by when, and if so would you be willing to share that? What worked and what didn't? What would you have done differently if you could?
Thank you for any and all insights you can provide.
    Best regards,
