To the Campus Community:


President Garimella has just declared a "state of campus emergency" due to blowing and drifting snow creating impassable roads and walkways and inaccessible parking lots.  


Classes are cancelled and administrative and academic offices are closed effective 1:30 p.m., today Friday, February 7, 2020.  Classes that begin at 1:10 p.m. are also cancelled.  The University will reopen at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020.


Essential personnel, whose responsibility it is to maintain core operations on campus during a snow emergency (including, but not limited to, Residential maintenance staff, Police Services, Custodial Services, Grounds, Physical Plant), must continue to work as scheduled and assigned by their supervisor. Employees should connect with their supervisor before coming to or leaving campus.


The Women’s Hockey Game and the Fleming Museum of Art Spring Opening tonight have both been postponed.  Additional information will be available shortly.


Dining Services at the following locations will be open until 7:00 p.m.:



All other locations will be closed beginning at 1:30 p.m.  Regular Dining services will resume at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020.
