We have checked the Microsoft service health portal now and don’t see any globally reported issues about Teams functionality/latency issues like are being experienced so we are opening a ticket with them to report the issue.
As jarlath suggested it seems likely that there is a big push from a very large number of organizations into a remote connectivity landscape and this could be affecting their service stability/availability.
Please continue to report issues that you are experiencing with your teams experience. Also if you could take note of a specific meeting if you can report the time we are able to look at call quality and bandwidth reported, ect.
Also of note to keep in the back of your mind is that if folks are calling in from home it is difficult to know the bandwidth someone has availability to them from their home. I have been on calls where someone’s video quality was poor and requesting that they turn off their video and just send audio while not ideal does make the communication better as the speaking is less choppy or robotic sounding when only sending audio.

As Inés stated, the TEAMs stability and connectivity has been dicey today. We had several folks coming in to work on it after reading Provost Prelock’s recommendation email and it’s not working correctly. Can some resources be allocated to helping with this issue?

We’ve had some trouble at the CTL, too. Faculty come in to learn how to hold live meetings on Teams and we’re not getting everyone’s video. For instance, someone created a meeting as a practice and invited me. I joined it and I can see his video. He can see me listed. But my webcam video isn’t coming through - just my avatar.
It happened a couple of other times today, too.
Hope this makes sense. Rushing! Thanks for any help!

We are trying to migrate to Teams from other systems we have used (Slack, Dropbox, Google Drive, and GoToMeeting) but are struggling with stability issues on both Windows and Mac platforms. Examples include:
- Stuck saving when creating a new channel. (Example screen capture below)
- Regular prompts to reload documents stored in Files while editing.
- Calls dropped for no reason.
Wondering if others are seeing these issues. Perhaps it is due to increase usage as we prepare for COVID-19?
