They don’t need to have access to Microsoft Teams. They will get a link to click in their email, and they can join in a web browser (Google Chrome or MS Edge).
That said, I was able this morning to create a new outlook.com account and sign-up for free MS Teams.
If you have additional questions, please let us know.
I have someone in Admissions who will need to do an online meeting with 15-20 people, more than half of which are not UVM affiliates. They are high school guidance counselors. It’s unclear whether or not they all have access to Microsoft Teams (maybe this is just a knowledge gap for me, but I’m under the impression that Teams is not a free application like Zoom). If Microsoft Teams is not an option because of licensing issues, and Zoom isn’t an option because the free version only allows for a 40 minute meeting when more than 3 people are involved and she has 15-20 people for 2 hours, what is the next option we should be looking at for her to use for this community based meeting?
Thanks for your help,
