Subject: land records digitization
Hello clerks.
For those of you who are considering digitization of your land records, please keep in mind that VSARA recently published guidance about file formats, imaging, and metadata. Maybe you already know but I missed it when or if it was announced.

Although these standards are not currently required by statute, it is safe to assume that they will be required one day, and we should be checking with our vendors to make sure any system that we purchase can adhere to them.
