This makes me happy too. Bought my Bash Badge Plus on Memorial Day.

After years of following Ben and Roger around Smuggs, among other places, they decamped for Stowe and the lure of western Epic powder. I only made it to the other side of the notch to ski with them at Stowe once, on a partially windheld day two years ago. Thanks, buddy pass!

I learned a lot following them, and I like to think I became a better skier in the process. I also learned most of the tree lines, but following someone is not the same as knowing where to turn. It's a bit like driving: If I go somewhere unfamiliar without GPS, I'll remember the route almost perfectly. But with GPS leading me around by the nose, I recall very little. Skiing in the woods, the issue is not which entrance to take, but the second through fifth forks after that. After Roger and Ben left, I had to figure it all out for myself, and as of March, my mental map was pretty good. Now let's see how low their IQ has sunk.

I, on the other hand, have been holding out.  This thread made me check out what we were going to do next year. After 2  years of Epic passes, it looks like our family will probably be going back to Smuggs.  But serious consideration was given to sticking to backcountry this year.
