Maybe you went on a mission trip in high school and look back on it with tinged of discomfort. Maybe you grew up in a neighborhood or region where others would come to “help” and “learn.”

Though these dynamics often come from real human desires to help others, they can also contribute to sustaining the very issues we claim to want to address. Take it from a guy who has flown repeatedly to Southern Chile to try to stop glaciers from melting.

Join us for a respectful and honest discussion about travel, aid, charity, philanthropy, American/white/class/education privilege, and more.

Hopefully, we will walk away feeling more prepared to replace standard ideas about these topics with methods to move toward liberation and justice for all.

Join us this Thursday 9/24 from 7-8pm for a guest lecture by Matt McIntosh.
